About Us
| Walker Standardbreds, owned and perated by Dr. Kenneth L. Walker and his wife, Patricia, is home to two trotting stallions, three pacing stallions, 162 mares, and 115 yearlings. The farm covers 400 acres and has 8 enclosed barns and 2 run-in sheds with over 100 stalls available for use. A staff of 8-25 people helps to keep things running smoothly. |
| The farm is also host every summer to a select sale of yearling prospects conceived and foaled in Illinois. In 2003, the average price per horse was $13,700, with 160 consigned. |
| In 2003, 451 mares were bred to the 6 stallions standing at stud. All breedings are done by artificial insemination. |
